Nope, No Irony There At All

Take it away, Wonketeers:

Let’s go to spokesmom Bristol Palin for the official Wasilla Family Values Coalition response: “It would’ve been helpful for [Barack Obama] to explain to Malia and Sasha that while her [sic] friends’ [gay] parents are no doubt lovely people, that’s not a reason to change thousands of years of thinking about marriage.”

“Or that – as great as her [sic] friends may be – we know that in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home.”

It gets better – or worse, depending on how you look at it – but the whole thing is worth a look.  Wonkette is one of my go-to places for high-quality snark, and they don’t disappoint here.

As for LaPalinette, one usually has to pull up some old Python episodes to see something that absurd.

  1. How would miss Bristol know how its like in a household that is not a mother/father? I have seen lots of kids that say growing up in a mother/mother home is just as good as in any other household. I don’t know why that girl opens her mouth to say anything when she doesn’t know what she is talking about…Just like her mom I guess?
