Another day, another sign that Newtron’s salad days are far behind him:
A consulting group started by Newt Gingrich has found itself in more trouble than the former House Speaker’s presidential campaign, filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection on Thursday.
The Gingrich Group, doing business as the Center for Health Transformation, said in a court document that it owes between $1 million and $10 million to up to 99 creditors.
And when the cupboard is bare, I mean BARE, baby:
The Atlanta-based think-tank doesn’t expect to have any funds available to distribute to the creditors, it noted in the filing. The Center for Health Transformation is one of a handful of organizations Gingrich founded after he left Congress in 1999.
Sounds like the free market spoke, loudly…
